Daikin UK MD, Peter Verkempynck, has called for inclusion of commercial-scale air-to-water heat pumps in the Renewable Heat Incentive ‘as soon as possible’.
In a keynote at the Micropower Council’s Summer Reception in London, he told Greg Barker, Minister of State for Energy and Climate Change, and DECC civil servants, that the Government’s current policy of not including such pumps in the RHI along with other renewable heating systems was having ‘a seriously negative impact on the industry’, and creating ‘an unfair playing field’.
