Appointments strengthen healthcare team

Swanke Hayden Connell Architects (SHCA) has appointed two senior directors to its healthcare team to further strengthen its skills and resources. With their appointments, both Keith Cox and Keith Millay bring extensive knowledge and expertise in designing for the healthcare and research sectors.

Keith Cox is an experienced architect and senior manager in healthcare design projects, having been managing director of his own practice and a partner at Watkins Gray International before joining SHCA. He has specialist knowledge of mental health services and facilities and has delivered a number of schemes as both a designer and trust advisor. As director of healthcare at SHCA he is continuing to develop business opportunities from the growing investments in healthcare regeneration within the UK and Europe.

Keith Millay has worked on leading healthcare and research projects both within the UK and internationally. Before arriving at SHCA he served as an executive director of the Anglo-American firm Anshen Dyer Architects in London. Keith Millay’s particular skill is in designing clear and flexible frameworks for buildings with complex operational and technical briefs. He has worked almost exclusively on healthcare, research and academic projects for over 20 years, but continues to explore new creative solutions to these building types, challenging a formulaic approach to these facilities.
