This article, taken largely from a CPD-approved presentation by Static Systems Group, is intended to give readers an introduction to the Health Technical Memorandum (HTM) 08-03: Bedhead Services. The following sections will review some of the key points, policies, and principles of the document, and provide estates managers, engineers, and technicians, with an understanding of, and insight into, the HTM. So what is HTM 08-03? Formally published in 2008, HTM 08-03 supersedes HTM 2015, which had been in place for a number of years previously. HTM 08-03 is part of a wider suite of Health Technical Memoranda which covers the range of facilities and services in healthcare establishments. The ‘foundation document’ for the suite is HTM00, which covers policies and principles applicable to all HTMs.
