Medical Devices AG’s new chair

IHEEM has announced the appointment of David Easton MSc CEng FIHEEM MIET (pictured) as the chair of the Institute’s Medical Devices Advisory Group (MDAG).

A Chartered MSc-qualified engineering manager/ consultant, with over 20 years’ experience gained working for world-class pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturers and in the NHS, David Easton holds a Master of Science postgraduate degree in Pharmaceutical Engineering from Manchester University, where his studies encompassed all aspects of pharmaceutical and medical device manufacture and estates and facilities engineering. His areas of expertise include asset and medical device management; decontamination; quality; compliance; project management/engineering; process and utility design and validation; EBME systems; computer system implementation and validation; commissioning; qualification; estates and facilities management and engineering; instrumentation; and electrical. He is also director and lead consultant for Zener Engineering Services. The MDAG’s remit will be similar to that of IHEEM’s other Advisory Groups – see story on the Resilience Advisory Group on page 8 for details.
