The Department of Health (DH) is inviting NHS Chief Executives, nonexecutive directors, finance directors, capital managers, and estates professionals, to attend a series of free seminars this month, which will demonstrate how use of the ProCure21+ Construction Framework can help NHS Trusts gain maximum value-for-money.
The Government’s 2011 Plan for Growth highlighted the critical importance of an efficient construction industry to the UK economy, while the Government Construction Strategy, published last year by the Government Efficiency Reform Group, requires all Government Departments and devolved bodies to reduce construction costs. In response, the DH and the six current ProCure21+ Principal Supply Chain Partners (PSCPs) have committed to deliver savings of up to 14% on the Framework for the NHS by 2015. For Trusts with a ProCure21+ scheme, the DH says this presents ‘a significant opportunity to lower scheme costs’. This month the Department and the PSCPs will stage four free seminars for the NHS designed to address the reduction of capital scheme costs.
