Construction of the Lancashire Care NHS Foundation Trust’s new £40 million, 154-bed mental health inpatient unit, The Harbour, started on site early last month, with opening scheduled for spring 2015.
Ryhurst, the Trust’s joint venture partner, will undertake the development management of the scheme, which will be built by IHP, a partnership between VINCI Construction UK and Sir Robert McAlpine. Replacing facilities at Parkwood, Blackpool Victoria Hospital, Lytham Hospital, and Fleetwood Hospital, The Harbour will be built on land at the Wyndyke Farm site, just off the M55.
