A former Young Member Group Chairman of the Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers Hong Kong Branch (CIBSE HK), and former ECS Chairman of the Institution of Engineering and Technology Hong Kong (IET HK), has become a Fellow of IHEEM.
Since graduating from Newcastle Upon Tyne Polytechnic, Dr Jason Chan BEng (Hons) Msc EngD CEng FIHEEM MCIBSE MIET MHKIE RPE, has worked in engineering for over 20 years, both in consulting and contracting firms. An IHEEM Hong Kong Branch member, he has particular experience in public health, industry, academic, and commercial building development, and building services systems design and installation.
Dr Chan currently runs his own Hong Kong-based healthcare project turnkey companty, MGI (Far East), as a general manager, with two partners, John Chan and Steve Lai. He said: “With rapid development of healthcare projects in the Asia Pacific region, IHEEM provides an excellent platform for healthcare engineers and experts to share their knowledge and expertise and discuss innovative initiatives. I consider IHEEM Fellowship an honour, and am especially pleased to be able to make a contribution to the work of the Hong Kong Branch.”
