HLM part of consortium for £165 m Edinburgh hospital

A Brookfield Multiplex-led consortium has been named preferred bidder to build the proposed new Royal Hospital for Sick Children and Department of Clinical Neurosciences in Edinburgh.

NHS Lothian has appointed Integrated Health Solutions Lothian, a consortium comprising Brookfield Multiplex, architect, HLM, investor Macquarie Capital Group, and Bouygues E&S FM UK, to deliver the scheme. The consortium will design, build, and maintain, the new Royal Hospital for Sick Children and Department of Clinical Neurosciences at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh site. The project will see built the first acute hospital facility procured under the Scottish Government’s Non Profit Distributing model. It will be delivered as a standalone new build on the existing Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh site. The building will also provide new facilities for the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service.
