Manufacturer and supplier of commercial grade sanitaryware and fittings, Armitage Shanks, says its Markwik range is ‘the market’s number one healthcare range, designed and developed to ensure maximum hospital hygiene, and minimise the spread of infection, reducing the risk of Pseudomonas and Legionella’.
Building on the range’s success, the company has introduced a demountable mixer option, which allows the whole body of the fitting to be removed from the wall; the spout is also removable. Markwik’s ‘in-built sterilisation system’ means hot water can be flushed through all areas of the tap, while the demountable body and spout allow immersion in sterilisation fluid, ‘offering a quick and easy way to lower infection risk’. Other features remain the same, so the new range can be fitted as part of a new or existing installation.
Ideal Standard, exhibiting Markwik 21 at Healthcare Estates, will also launch a new spares service, via which estates departments can order replacement products through its Fastpart website.
