Hefma elects a new national chairman

Kevin Oxley, director of estates and facilities at County Durham and Darlington Acute Hospitals Trust, has been elected as the new chairman of the Health Estates and Facilities Management Association (Hefma) for a period of two years. He succeeds Andrew Jones, the previous chairman.

Kevin Oxley has been a member of the Northern and Yorkshire branch of Hefma for the past eight years and has over 16 years’ NHS experience. He is currently involved in a national NHS project to develop workforce capacity within the estates and facilities management arena with the aim of ensuring that support services staff are recruited into the profession. He is also a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Building.
