Launched by deister electronic UK, one of the world’s largest independent manufacturers of RFID solutions for a wide variety of access control and identification applications, is bioProx, a range of class leading biometric identification devices which provide real life access control through fingerprint recognition.
The technology supports Wiegand or Magstripe emulation and features a TCP/IP interface for management control and future expansion. It is possible for any organisation to easily integrate bioProx into its existing access control system.
Three core technologies are required for the development of a biometric reader – a sensor to capture the fingerprint, an algorithm to process and make comparisons, and the means to read a template from contact-less card technology. deister’s new fingerprint readers have all three technologies developed by the same company – deister electronic.
