Hospital, home care, and examination beds, and patient lifting and handling systems, all require height or backrest adjustment that is simple to use, built to last, and demands minimum operator effort.
Designers at UK-based, Camloc Motion Control, have launched a product they say fulfils the needs of the design engineers creating these beds and systems, and the thousands using them every day.
The Camloc Hydraulic Lift is a hydromechanical device for height adjustment. Easy to install and maintenance-free, each Hydraulic Lift incorporates a foot pedal which is depressed several times until it reaches the required height, and simply lifted upwards ‘for a smooth, jolt-free compression downwards’.
“The system’s real advantage for both design engineers and end-users is its simplicity,” explains Camloc engineering manager, Matt Warne. “It’s easy to fit, doesn’t need a power supply, and has been tested to the highest level.”
