New members welcomed by IHEEM

Among new members recently welcomed by IHEEM are Andrew Tweedie and Martin Goodway.

Andrew Tweedie is a cleanroom consultant specialising in the design, testing and operation of cleanrooms and training of their staff.

He is chairman of the Scottish Society for Contamination Control (S2C2), serves on the BSI LBI/30 committee “Cleanroom Technology” and the Sterilisation and Microbiology Working Group of the Association of British Healthcare Industries (ABHI). He is also a member of the Institute of Decontamination Sciences and Central Sterilising Club.

Martin Goodway has worked for the NHS for 31 years, starting as an apprentice electrician. His career developed from working on the “tools” at Pontefract General Infirmary in West Yorkshire as an electrician/technician to more recently managing staff and managing the electrical and other non-electrical services for South West Yorkshire Mental Health NHS Trust in Wakefield.

He is at the moment also involved with a P21 process on site, assisting with the co-ordination of both major infrastructure changes and new build projects. This is giving him the opportunity to work with the contracting industry, and new technologies and techniques.
