London private hospital The Princess Grace has invested in a new uniform for its diagnostic imaging staff, employing Grahame Gardner’s bespoke design service to create a new image. The Princess Grace Hospital has a team of 55 in its imaging department and needed a uniform to reflect its high level of professionalism which was also comfortable to wear.

The new uniform features black and green, with numerous combinations denoting different areas within the department. This represents a departure from the traditional maroon of radiographers, so the Princess Grace Hospital chose to use Grahame Gardner’s embroidery service to clearly indicate each specialist area. Senior radiographer Yolandi Wessels comments: “As a department we decided to take a fresh look at our workwear. All department members voted on which of the new styles they preferred and our new style is one which was approved by all department members. Although most of the uniforms are black and green trim, there is still some flexibility within this style. We are clearly identified as the same department, but the variations represent different branches of radiography.”
