Architecture and design practice, tp bennett has secured planning permission for a new standalone hospice that will provide a purpose-built 4,000 m2 specialist palliative care facility on a generous suburban site on the old Ekco Radio site in Southend.
The Fair Havens Hospice, on the same site as a Bellway Homes housing development, will include daycare and inpatient facilities, with family support and therapies, and act as the central hub for community-based palliative care services, outpatient therapies, an education centre for healthcare professionals, and support services.
