Where hot water is required over several floors for handwashing or showering, centralised systems may struggle to deliver water quickly and efficiently to more remote points of use.
So says Zip Heaters, which claims that where instantaneous water heaters are installed, energy savings of around 23% are achievable over stored hot water systems.
Zip’s InLine instantaneous water heaters have bare-wire heating elements for faster heat-up times and increased efficiency, as the heating element is positioned directly in the water flow path. The company added: “The size and mass of traditional elements and heat exchangers meant they previously absorbed energy before the water could be delivered at a useable temperature, while the energy was allowed to dissipate after use; bare wire technology eliminates any of these issues. Tried, tested and inherently safe, the technology offers far-reaching benefits in terms of performance, consistency and control.”
