The Sanitary Medical Disposal Services Association (SMDSA) was formed in 1992 as an association of leading companies specialising in the packaging, collection, transport and disposal of clinical, hygiene and sanitary waste throughout the public and private sectors.
Membership includes manufacturers and distributors of UN approved and bespoke containers and wheeled bins, waste management contractors, consultants and service providers. The SMDSA represents 99% of the UK’s clinical waste incineration and treatment facilities and the majority of hygiene and washroom service companies.
