As part of a current ongoing £90 m redevelopment of the Glan Clwyd Hospital in Rhyl, North Wales, the healthcare facility has seen an extensive upgrade to LED examination lighting.
Aiming to significantly reduce the hospital’s lighting-related energy consumption, and help it achieve noticeable cost savings, Daray supplied its X400 and SL180 LED light models for use in wards, the new Emergency Quadrant, and the Radiology, Urology, and Outpatients’ departments. The upgrade has reportedly ‘transformed the appearance of clinical areas’, while delivering ‘further crucial benefits such as carbon savings and increased efficiency’.
Daray said: “The improvement in lighting throughout Glan Clwyd will benefit staff and patients in the long-term. As a UK manufacturer, we understand the importance of ensuring that the equipment supplied into our hospitals exceeds quality and infection control standards, while allowing hospital staff to focus more time on the patients.
“The X400 and SL180 models benefit from LED technology, and with features like variable intensity and advanced colour rendering, offer exceptional, accurate performance while keeping running and ownership costs to a minimum.”
A wide range of standard mounting options make these models ideal for maxillofacial, obstetrics, diagnostics, and gynaecology.
