With IHEEM’s flagship Healthcare Estates 2015 show due to open its doors on 20 October, HEJ focuses on some of the key themes of this year’s event, and highlights a number of new features.
This includes a new IHEEM Technical Zone, where leading experts on topics ranging from medical gases to sustainability will present and provide members of the Institute with specialist advice and guidance.
This year’s Healthcare Estates 2015 event in Manchester will, conference director at Step Exhibitions, Victoria Emerton, explains, feature ‘by far the most ambitious conference and exhibition programme we have put together, with over 150 speakers and chairs to facilitate and present on a myriad of topics’.
The opening conference keynote on October 20 – the show takes place at Manchester Central slightly later in the year than usual, from 20-21 October – will be given by Mike Hobbs, managing director of Carillion Health. Having joined Carillion in 2003, he led the company’s development of health sector PPP, clinical, and FM contracts, both in the UK and internationally. Prior to joining Carillion, he worked in a number of senior management roles in the NHS, and is also a member of the Healthcare UK Governance Board.
