Now a regular exhibitor at Healthcare Estates, Polar has been further developing its range of reduced ligature windows with a new PVC-U option, the Tweed
As with other windows in its healthcare range, the Tweed comes with ‘an impressive performance and pedigree’, including a secure stainless steel mesh providing 40 per cent airflow ventilation, and an external sliding sash with turnknob control.
Polar’s established ranges of reduced ligature windows in aluminium frames – the Humber, Wear, Wansbeck, and Tyne, will also be shown. Polar said: “These window systems meet hospital infection control standards, and as a company we meet and exceed all construction standards for this important sector.”
Continuous product development is the mainstay of the North-East based company, which specialises in developing ranges to reduce ligature risk, simultaneously ensuring that its window systems provide excellent light and ventilation.
Polar says its ‘designed-in options’ within its window ranges meet specific needs and challenges, with specific windows ‘tested by numerous Trusts to meet their individual requirements’.
