Specifically designed for patient accommodation and residential care facilities, Delabie’s new Securitherm single control thermostatic shower mixer provides anti-scalding safety, infection control, and reduced water consumption.
The TMV3-approved thermostatic cartridge ensures stable temperatures regardless of changes in pressure and flow rate. The sequential mixer opens and closes with cold, potable water. Supplied with a maximum temperature limiter, there is ‘no risk of scalding to the user’. If the cold water supply fails, the hot water shuts off instantly. The H9630 mixer also features Securitouch technology – hot water flows from the inlet to the cartridge via a narrow copper tube, insulating the hot water from the outer surface, and removing the risk of burning.
The interior is designed to reduce bacterial development. All internal parts are completely smooth, slowing biofilm build-up, with only one mechanism to control flow and temperature. – meaning fewer components in contact with water, and less standing water in the mixer body. The mixer also does not require non-return valves on the inlets.
Fitted with a flow restrictor set at 8 litres /min at 3 bar, the H9630 offers ‘significant water savings compared with conventional mixers’, with flow rates up to 18 litres/ min, while maintaining user comfort. The water savings mean less energy and equipment is required to heat the water.
