Static Systems Group has added additional facilities to its Fusion-IP Aspire wireless nurse call system to bring its capabilities ‘more in line’ with those of its wired systems.
It said: “Operating within the 868 MHz frequency for improved range, Aspire now offers many features not generally available with wireless nurse call. These include bedlight control direct from the patient hand unit, options for further levels of alarm – including Cardiac Call, Toilet Call, and Controlled Drugs Cupboard indication, a new 7 in staff indicator, and an 18 in display.
“Along with new indicators come improved battery life for devices, and battery-powered ‘wireless’ overdoor units – designed identically to other Fusion-IP systems. Device enclosures have been improved to reduce depth and improve fixing. The RNIB-endorsed patient hand unit and established escutcheons have been retained to provide familiarity with our wired systems.”
Richard Tew, director of Product Development, said: “Development of advanced facilities for wireless was well within our in-house team’s capabilities, and we could integrate the systems seamlessly with our wired solutions to provide all the functionality users of these have become used to. This includes ‘pop-up’ messaging on third-party computers, enhanced statistical management reporting, and remote connectivity to mobile devices.”
Aspire can operate standalone, work alongside a wired Fusion-IP system, and connect with a site LAN.
