The University Hospital of Hartlepool is hoping to reduce waiting lists with the introduction of a brand new cardiac diagnostic service.
The purchase of the Artis dTC, which was paid for with funds from the National Lottery, provides Hartlepool with a leading edge technology, supported by Siemens. “In-depth applications training is essential when starting up a new clinical service,” said Jane Timmins, product specialist for Siemens, “If staff are fully conversant with the system they can concentrate on the patient.”
The Artis dTC is designed to be easy to use with its flat detector technology providing improved image quality at lower dose. The ceiling mounted gantry’s motorised pivot of 270° provides the ideal positioning flexibility for optimised patient access. “We are extremely pleased that the benefits of Siemens technology is ensuring the best support for Hartlepool’s provision of this important service to the local community,” said Neil Lincoln, regional sales manager for Siemens Medical Solutions.
