Taunton and Somerset NHS Trust has acquired an MT3/240 to transport medical records around the hospital. Previously, records were pushed manually around the site on a four-wheeled trolley weighing approximately 340 kg.
It also says that reducing the physical effort required to move heavy loads vastly reduces manual handlingrelated sickness and compensation claims. Steve Watts, head porter for Taunton and Somerset NHS Trust comments: “The MasterMover takes the strain out of the work and reduces the risk of injury to operatives. If it can stand up to the life of a porter it can stand up to anything!”
