BOC Healthcare’s Authorised Person Medical Gas Pipeline System (MGPS) service supports healthcare facilities that may not be large enough to warrant their own qualified engineer on-site, such as community hospitals and hospices.
The company said: “A qualified, experienced remote Authorised Person (AP) will save the facility time and money by taking responsibility for this vital function, and provide help in complying with the recommendations of HTM 02-01 and other codes of practice / legislative requirements.” Help from the remote AP ‘is never more than a phone call away’.
BOC Healthcare added: “The AP will visit the site as soon as possible to carry out the initial inspection. The remote AP has the option to call upon expert BOC operatives as needed. The service also includes ongoing non-urgent support – acting as the remote AP, BOC Healthcare will train a suitable on-site employee to act as Responsible Person for first response, arrange an annual visit to ensure that all is working correctly, and can also attend medical gas committee meetings.”
As part of a special promotion running until the year-end, BOC Healthcare will provide a free signage and storage audit as part of the three-year AP (MGPS) service.
