The Healthcare Estates Conference 2007 will take place on the 16-17 October 2007 at the Harrogate International centre and IHEEM is now inviting potential speakers to submit papers for consideration.
The event is well known by delegates for the high quality of its speakers drawn from all aspects of the industry. It is also renowned for the launch of policies and guidance by governing bodies, and for being a meeting place where new ideas and case studies are discussed.
The IHEEM conference review committee requires a 500 word abstract outlining the intended presentation. Presentations should be in the context of healthcare advances and performance benefits with emphasis on technical development. Marketing orientated papers will be rejected. Important are the quality and originality of the content as well as relevance to the themes of the conference. Papers should be presented by one speaker only and the presentation should be delivered in about 30 minutes. Successful speakers will be notified in mid-May. A full version of the presentation will be expected by 10 September 2007.
This is a significant opportunity to share your knowledge, experience and ideas with your peers, and make a real contribution to delivering the environment for care that patients, politicians and healthcare professionals alike really want. Possible themes for the 2007 event are:
A focus on safety.
Achieving and implementing realistic sustainability.
Controlling deficits and improving cost-saving measures.
Innovative and proven ideas on improving performance and productivity.
International perspectives.
Best practice case studies.
Optimum use of energy and operating with care for the environment.
At this stage, it is envisaged the event will have two or three streams covering acute healthcare, primary and community healthcare settings, and best practice.
