DELABIE launches BIM

DELABIE, the European market leader for water controls and sanitary fittings in the public and commercial sector, has modelled its core products to meet the requirements of BIM technology.

Available in two formats – REVIT and IFC, the files can be downloaded directly from DELABIE’s recently relaunched website www.delabie.co.uk

Widely used in in public procurement projects, Building Information Modelling allows stakeholder collaboration, reduces the risk of errors and lowers costs at the building’s design stage. The digital model also provides information to support the construction and operation of a building throughout its entire lifecycle. In addition, to a 3D graphic representation, the “smart” object also includes important technical data for DELABIE’s core products.

DELABIE’s BIM files can be downloaded via the relevant product data sheet or by using the Datashare facility. This file sharing centre makes it possible to download all the documents relating to a particular product at the same time, such as product sheets, technical descriptions, photos, line drawings, AutoCAD files, installation guides and approval certificates. There is no need to register to access the files.

Creating a personalised catalogue is also very easy on the new DELABIE website. Users can select products, a process made simple by large thumbnails and short descriptions which allow quick product comparisons. These are then automatically formatted into a tailor-made digital catalogue which can be exported in Excel, WORD or PDF format.

Taking its cues from the technical catalogues, the delabie.co.uk website, incorporating BIM files and Datashare is an efficient and intuitive tool for architects, installers, consultants and plumbing merchants.
