The KIMS Hospital near Maidstone, an existing Brandon Medical customer, has again chosen the company to provide state-of-the-art medical equipment to further enhance its operating theatres.
The four-week installation saw Brandon Medical’s newest innovation, the Mediclean Complanate Ultra Clean Ventilation (UCV) system, installed. “Complanate, meaning ‘to make level’, refers to the UCV’s unique design, which fits completely flush to the operating theatre ceiling,” Brandon explained.
KIMS Hospital theatre manager, Peter O’Neill, said: “Working with Brandon Medical to design and install the new Mediclean UCV system has been a great experience. We are very impressed with the system, which allows consultants and our theatre teams greater flexibility to move equipment about. In addition, the constant cleaning of particle matter from the air ensures our strict infection control standards are adhered to at all times.”
Also installed were Brandon’s new double arm Quasar eLite 6H60 operating theatre light, and two Atlas Medical gas pendants. Brandon’s Paul Grainger said: “Brandon Medical has designed a fully coordinated workspace with products that complement, rather than restrict each other’s functionality. This creates an operating theatre designed around the end-user, not the technology.”
Brandon Medical has worked closely with the Kent hospital’s management and engineering teams as part of a five-theatre refurbishment project.
