The new state-of-the-art Longview centre in Huyton, Merseyside, has been officially opened.
The 1,080 m2 health centre comprises accommodation for doctors’ surgeries, a pharmacy and a minor surgery treatment room alongside a reception and waiting areas.
Working for GallifordTry Construction, the Manchester office of White Young Green (WYG), consultants to the built, natural and social environment, provided civil and structural design services for the project including the design of the foundations, steel frameworks and the drainage requirements.
Jim Seager, project director for WYG’s Manchester office, said: “We are delighted to be part of this project which will have a large beneficial effect on the healthcare facilities in the Knowsley district.
“The delivery of healthcare at community level is an important part of the Government agenda. The benefits of working on a rolling programme such as this, allows us to refine our skills on each project, carrying forward this expertise to the next one.”
