The new Altro Wood Safety collection is ‘inspired by nature’, the flooring specialist says, and combines functional performance with modern design ‘to create spaces that really work for the people who use them’.
Specifiers can select from two ‘wood-look’ safety flooring ranges: 2 mm Altro Wood Safety, and 2.85 mm Altro Wood Safety Comfort. Altro said: “Both give the performance and slip resistance you’d expect from an Altro safety floor (PTV-36), with the thicker option providing comfort underfoot and 14 dB sound reduction for noisy environments. The new collection retains many of the most popular Altro Wood colours, alongside exciting contemporary shades. Stylish options include a bamboo-look fine-line pattern, plus wide plank classic and rustic designs.”
Altro Wood Safety is reportedly ideal for environments such as hospital and care home corridors and patient rooms, while Altro Wood Safety Comfort is designed for use in areas ‘that need to look good, while helping to give comfort underfoot’. Matching colour and design options across the two ranges gives the flexibility to select products with the right technical performance required for different areas, yet still achieve a consistent look.
The Altro Wood Safety ranges are designed specifically for environments with a high slip risk, and, Altro says, ‘reduce the risk of slipping on water to one in a million’. They come with a lifetime sustained slip resistance guarantee, and are ‘durable and stain-resistant’.
Both ranges are backed by ‘industry-leading guarantees and technical support’, are made in Europe, contain bioplasticers, and are phthalate-free.
