Digital integration specialist, S-Cape, has partnered with operating theatre UCV system manufacturer, Howorth Air Technology, on a number of UK hospital installations, such as St George’s Hospital in south London (pictured), and One Healthcare at Hatfield – a new private healthcare facility set to open later this year.
S-Cape said: “Surgeons are performing ever-more complex procedures using new technologies, necessitating interactive, intuitive, vendor-neutral integration of all types of medical devices. Our CareSyntax vendor-neutral software application offers the ideal solution.”
S-Cape’s CX-Prime ‘family’ consists of various modules for wall-mounted display and video/image documentation. The company said: “Web-based solutions enable surgeons to upload images to be retrieved anywhere in the hospital, with the ability to edit them at any point. Other modules offer the ability to link third-party applications, such as linking a PACS system to the theatre with a single button click. There are also modules for telemedicine, with HL7 & DICOM infrastructure bringing all patient data together in importable or exportable form.
“The system is designed to be easy for theatre and nursing staff to use. Other features include connectivity to mobile equipment such as mobile X-ray and operating microscopes using a single cable and auto-recognition technology.”
