Due to popular demand, IHEEM will be hosting a further seminar titled “Decontamination: Focus on HTM 01” on 6 June in Birmingham.
The first part of the new HTM 01 Disinfection and Sterilization guidance is expected to be published this autumn and will be the first update for more than 10 years. With decontamination and infection control firmly on the agenda, this seminar aims to review some of the key milestones achieved following the snapshot review of decontamination services undertaken by NHS Estates in 1999. The seminar will be based on the draft HTM and give those who attend a first look at what the guidance means for decontamination services. This seminar is a must for all staff, including those working in specialist decontamination roles or in general estates management, to appreciate the changes, new roles and responsibilities that the new HTM01 will recommend.
