Queen Victoria Hospital improves diagnostic accuracy

The Queen Victoria Hospital in East Grinstead has purchased the AXIOM Iconos R200 from Siemens Medical Solutions to improve workflow and precision in patient diagnosis.

The Iconos has replaced ailing equipment with cutting-edge technology, which has significantly improved the image quality. In addition, data can be sent individually, according to requirements, directly onto the net, to a workstation, to an archive, to a networked hardcopy camera, or simply create a CD-R. Query/Retrieve can be used when needed to access images from an archive that were sent by the imaging system. These images can be displayed directly in the examination room.

Angela Eiffert, radiology manager at Queen Victoria Hospital, said: “With the Iconos R200, we have found new ways to optimise our workflow. It is an excellent blend of information technology and cutting edge medical technology that has allowed our fluoro system to become an integral part of our radiology department. We now have much easier access to all the relevant information at anytime.”
