ECO-Logic chosen for St Andrew’s expansion

St Andrew’s Healthcare, the independent mental health care charity, has opened a new unit at its Northampton site.

Smythe House is a 60 bed unit linked to Malcolm Arnold House, a specialist site for young people with learning difficulties. Bathroom facilities at the new site were supplied by ECO-Logic, which installed similar facilities in Malcolm Arnold House during its construction in 2005.

ECO-Logic supplied basin, WC, bath and shower controls and sanitaryware for ensuite bathrooms, patient toilets, seclusion rooms and assisted bathrooms. The advanced water control systems supplied by ECO-Logic enable total management supervision of each room, but allow a degree of choice (within set limits) to the user. This flexibility is highlighted by the ECO-Logic Compact Range.

Anti-vandal/anti-ligature controls combine ECO Touch Sense electronic sensors and thermostatically controlled water delivery, with a range of safety features.

This specially designed anti-ligature controller allows the user safe temperature selection within set management limits. If, for whatever reason, the maximum is reached, the ECO Controller instantly shuts down flow until a safe temperature is restored.

It also offers fixed or flexible run times, an automatic stop facility, and anti-tamper and lockout controls. The integral Thermostatic Mixing Valve is supplied with 15 mm or 22 mm connections and satisfies DO8 NHS requirements.
