NPSA new chief

The National Patient Safety Agency (NPSA) has appointed Martin Fletcher as its new chief executive. Martin Fletcher joins the NPSA from the World Health Organisation (WHO) where he was based in Geneva.

During his three years at WHO as patient safety lead, World Alliance for Patient Safety, Martin Fletcher managed an extensive portfolio of global initiatives on patient safety, including the development of an International Patient Safety Classification. His record of delivering successful patient safety projects and initiatives in Australia, England and internationally will enhance and build on the NPSA’s work.
