Maris Interiors LLP is to create a 30-bed unit within the London Independent Hospital in Stepney, London, for InCROM (International Clinical Research Organisation for Medicine). The space, which will take 10 weeks to create, will be used by InCROM to conduct stage one clinical trials on volunteers.
InCROM, which has offices in Japan, London and China, was the first Japanese clinical research organisation in Europe.
In the UK it works with the top 20 global pharmaceutical companies to test medicines on Japanese volunteers and boasts the largest active volunteer panel in Europe. Studies have included trials on drugs to assist with glaucoma, diabetes, arthritis and allergies.
