Doctors fund new health centre

A new £5.4 million health centre in Leicestershire is to be paid for by the 10 doctors who will practise there.

The Syston Health Centre, which is currently under construction, will have 31 consulting rooms and seven operating rooms so that doctors will be able to perform procedures such as varicose vein surgery and hernia operations.

The health centre, which is situated behind an existing building, is due to open in mid-June. The old building will be demolished to provide an 89-space car park.
