Three ‘unique’ hospital estate-related courses starting

Eastwood Park will from this month be offering ‘a unique suite’ of new 1.5-day hospital estate-related courses, focusing on ‘PFI’, ‘the Premises Assurance Model (PAM) and the Care Quality Commission (CQC)’, and ‘Energy management and sustainability’, delivered in partnership with estates and facilities management experts, GK Group.

Being held on 10 October, the PAM and CQC course will help delegates get the best from the NHS Premises Assurance Model (PAM) assessment for their organisation, and understand the scope of the PAM return and the information needed to answer the questions. It will also cover staff competence, the importance of assessing and managing risk, and the role of periodic audit and review.

The ‘Energy management & sustainability principles’ course, on 21 November, will focus on delivering improvements within energy and sustainability management, in line with the findings and requirements of the Lord Carter review, while the ‘PFI contract fundamentals & relationship management’ course, in early January 2018, will ‘deliver a comprehensive background to the key considerations required day-to-day and at a strategic level to effectively manage all aspects of an operational PFI scheme’.

GK Group has worked extensively with the NHS and internationally, providing professional management advice and support.
