Essentia wins place on ‘sought-after’ framework

Essentia Trading, the business wholly owned by Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust which offers consultancy in areas ranging from strategic estate development to healthcare planning, has been selected for the London Procurement Partnership’s (LPP’s) Framework for Professional Services, which enables NHS organisations to use their collective buying power to purchase goods and services.

Launched in April 2006, LPP is a membership organisation that helps NHS organisations get the best value when procuring goods and services, while ensuring the highest quality of patient care. Its members have saved the NHS over £1 billion through LPP since 2006. It currently saves the NHS more than  £2.5m a week, and is part of a wider NHS Collaborative Procurement Partnership.

Essentia has been selected for LPP’s Professional Services Dynamic Purchasing System – an electronic system used by buyers for services which combines the LPP frameworks for Construction Consultancy Services and Estates & Facilities Advisory Services.

Essentia said: “The appointment is a coup for our 60-strong team, which offers expertise to healthcare, science, public, and private organisations. Essentia has an exemplary track-record in the NHS, having delivered projects for Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust, Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust, and Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust, among many others.”
