Forta Medical has launched what it dubs ‘a new generation’ of prefabricated modular operating theatres, with several variants available, including for general and ultraclean surgery.
Shown by the Latvian company in conjunction with medical device manufacturer and medical gas system supplier, Pneumatik Berlin, at November’s MEDICA 2017 exhibition, the new theatres are said to be ‘a perfect solution for hospital expansion, and as a temporary solution during renovation or refurbishment’. Each is supplied as an autonomous solution comprising an induction room, scrub room, operating theatre, and technical zone.
Forta Medical says the dimensions, layouts, and architectural design, can be easily customised to address specific needs. The company added: “The modules can easily be installed in an existing hospital with minimal interference with daily routines, as either a temporary or a permanent solution.”
