Cistermiser Keraflo is preparing to launch LinkThru, ‘an innovative water temperaturemonitoring platform set to change the way hospitals and healthcare facilities manage infection control’
Speaking at IHEEM’s recent ‘Heritage, Innovation and The Membership Balance’ seminar in Westminster (HEJ – January 2018), technical director, David Meacock (pictured), presented the ‘platform’ to a receptive audience as part of LinkThru pre-launch communications, with ongoing field trials progressing smoothly, and ‘yielding significant interest in the product’.
David Meacock explained that LinkThru provides healthcare engineers with a simpler, quicker means of monitoring water temperature and flow in healthcare facilities than ‘the current labour-intensive method’, which requires them to take frequent manual temperature checks around a building’s pipework infrastructure.
Cistermiser Keraflo adds: “Using specialist technology, LinkThru automatically checks the water temperature and flow activity in pipework systems every five seconds, transmitting the results to a database for users to access remotely from a computer, tablet, or smartphone. This ability to consistently check, record, and analyse the data eliminates the risk of producing inaccurate information that is reliant on a person to read the temperature, take comprehensive notes, and compile a date-specific report.”
