Cambridge deal a further lift for ilecs

Mistley-based lift consultant, ilecs, has won a five-year contract from Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust to provide its Authorising Engineer Service for Lifts, extending its existing 11-year partnership with the Trust.

ilecs will be responsible for independently verifying the Trust’s lifts in adherence to the safety guidance issued by the Department of Health. Its role as the Authorising Engineer, and as the Trust’s lift consultant, is to ensure any works carried out by the lift service contractor on a portfolio of some 70 lifts conforms to the guidelines set out in the HTM 08-02: Lifts (2016 Edition).

Under the new agreement, ilecs will continue using its ‘innovative’ lift management system, OneVision – ‘a comprehensive lift administration service designed to save clients time, money, and stress’ – to provide the Trust with technical advice and accurate reports for the successful management of its lifts.

ilecs says its team has ‘300 years of collective experience in its industry’, and 26 years in business. Director, Carl Snell, said, “Being awarded the Trust’s contract for another five years allows us to build on an already good working partnership with it.”
