Brandon Medical’s new iTCP is an intelligent theatre control panel ‘tailored to meet the fastpaced environment that clinical staff work within’.
A touchscreen user interface ‘removes the complexities of most control panels, while simultaneously removing the ambiguity of audible alarms and visual prompts’. Brandon said: “The iTCP doesn’t just display important information; it provides solutions. Brandon recognises that realistically, clinical teams are unable to make important alterations mid-operation.
“The iTCP can understand the context of any given situation, where it can then begin to inform the relevant contact on what needs to be done. It’s a medical product specifically designed to work with building management systems and building communication protocols for seamless integration with surrounding devices. Full customisation of existing Brandon equipment in the surrounding vicinity can be afforded by its tablet-style, touchscreen interface.”
Additional benefits of the iTCP’s interconnectivity include its ability to schedule automatic tests to make sure all equipment is in operational status. All information collected by the iTCP is then recorded and stored to provide an extensive library of information to review.
Despite only launching in November 2017, the iTCP has gone on to be installed in over 20 prestigious hospitals throughout the world.
