The Chemical Biological Radiation Nuclear (CBRN) Division of Union Industries has introduced a new specialised infection control system for hospitals. The IsoArk intensive care isolation tent and the BioSafe 300 air filtration unit have been introduced as portable retrofit solutions to deal with the care of patients with contagious diseases.
The unit incorporates negative pressure to isolate victims of infectious diseases and allows for intensive care. The IsoArk also has an airlock with rigid doors, a control panel with integrated alarm systems and an advanced facility for the ejection of contaminated items such as dressings and clothes.
Paul Schofield, chairman of Union Industries said: “These units allow hospitals and other medical facilities to provide speedy facilities for isolation care upon demand without compromising operational workspace. Taking less than an hour to assemble with no need for tools medical staff can have the units ready and waiting for patients brought into the hospital in the event of an infectious outbreak.”
