A leading independent supplier of process filtration and water treatment products discusses its expertise, and explains how its recent creation of five new business dedicated ‘channnels’ should enhance its business and sales focus to a claimed 4,500 customers – including healthcare engineering teams – across the UK and Europe.
Established nearly four decades ago in Maidstone, Kent, where the company is still headquartered today, Fileder Filter Systems is one of Europe’s leading independent suppliers of process filtration and water treatment products. Having achieved 10 per cent year-on-year growth throughout much of the past decade, the company late last year created five new business-dedicated ‘Channels’ – ‘Industrial’, ‘Food & Beverage’, ‘Life Sciences’, ‘Everyday Life’, and ‘Export’, to enhance its business and sales focus to a claimed 4,500 customers across the UK and Europe. HEJ editor, Jonathan Baillie, visited the business to find out more.
Visiting Fileder’s Kent headquarters recently, I met with Life Sciences Channel manager, David Lawson, and Lynn Robinson, Channel Marketing. David Lawson explained that with a strong sales and engineering background, and indepth experience in international technical sales, he has held roles in the process and water filtration sector for over 14 years. Joining Pentair, a multinational supplier of ‘smart, sustainable water solutions to homes, business, and industry around the world’, as a sales engineer for the UK, Ireland, and Scandinavia in January 2005, he was appointed the company’s Regional sales manager for Northern Europe in September 2008. He went on to become European Sales manager for Norit-Filtrix in January 2010, and sales manager, Europe, Russia, and Middle East, with Filtrix in June 2011. After a two and a halfyear spell as Water Treatment & Export manager at Fileder Filter Systems beginning in April 2014, he joined Suez as the company’s Life Sciences Area manager in September 2016, but subsequently re-joined Fileder last August. As Life Sciences Channel manager at Fileder, he is responsible for leading the company’s Life Sciences Channel. The role entails overall responsibility for all filtration products used in hospitals, care homes, dental care, veterinary facilities, pharmaceutical applications, and laboratories.
