Bosses at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust approved a one-off payment to individual staff members of £100 to thank them for helping the Trust to achieve an “Excellent” score in recent NHS performance ratings.
Staff received the bonus payment towards the end of last year, following a decision taken by the Trust Board. Chelsea and Westminster was one of only 19 NHS Trusts in England, and one of only three in London, to score “Excellent” for both quality of services and use of resources in the annual ratings published by the Healthcare Commission. Chelsea and Westminster is therefore in the top 5% of NHS Trusts nationally.
The Commission said staff “provided an excellent quality of service to patients.”
