Steve Sweryda (pictured centre) of Interfurn Medical Systems Ltd stepped down from his role as managing director at the end of December 2020, handing over the reins to the company's operations director, Jon Fletcher (pictured far left).
He will, however, remain with the company until March 2021 to aid in the transition of the business.
Mr Sweryda has become a well-known figure in the specialised ventilation industry during a career spanning 50 years, the last 7 years of which was spent at Interfurn. He said, “After a great deal of thought, I’ve taken the difficult decision to begin preparing to retire in spring 2021.”
“I’ve had the pleasure of working with some great people on some amazing projects during my time with Interfurn and I’m very proud of the role I’ve played in establishing the company as a leader in the design, engineering and manufacturer of specialised ventilation and UCV canopy systems.”
Incoming managing director, Jon Fletcher said “I’d like to thank Steve for everything he’s done during his time as managing director here at Interfurn. He will leave behind a strong legacy and whilst he will be missed, I wish him all the best in this next chapter.”
