Irish branch to host sessions at Healthcare Ireland

IHEEM’s Irish branch, IHEEM Ireland, will host a series of educational sessions on topics ranging from “designing healthcare facilities through a sustainable model” to “procurement designed to deliver” at next month’s Healthcare Ireland conference and exhibition, being held at the RDS, Dublin from 23 to 24 April.

Other subjects and themes being examined at this new event both as part of the IHEEM Ireland Estates and Facilities “conference within a conference”, and during concurrent presentations as part of a comprehensive educational programme, will include designing out hospital infection; delivering optimum healing environments, performance-based leadership, prefabricated buildings – an international dimension, healthcare construction issues – a builder’s perspective, best practice in water hygiene, incorporating sustainability into capital projects, and improving patient care and communication.

Organisers describe the new two-day Healthcare Ireland event as a “multidiscipline conference and exhibition focusing on the application of science, technology and best practice in delivering health services across the board.” It is designed to address the needs both of those challenged with designing, constructing, maintaining and managing healthcare facilities, and those of clinical, nursing and management personnel. All conference papers and sessions are free to attend, while the exhibition will feature over 80 companies showcasing thousands of products and services, many new to the market, and a number being launched for the first time in Ireland.

The event has been organised in close collaboration with organisations including IHEEM Ireland, Healthcare Management Institute Ireland, The Infection Prevention Society Ireland, and the Hospice Friendly Hospitals programme.
