CHES, organisers of the 2022 IFHE 2022 Congress – to be held alongside the CHES 2022 National Conference at the Westin Harbour Castle, Toronto, from 17-21 September 2022 – have extended the deadline for submission of abstracts to 30 June this year.
The Canadian Healthcare Engineering Society (CHES) says it is seeking speaker abstract submissions by 30 June, 2021 for both domestic and international submissions for the IFHE 2022 Congress and CHES 2022 National Conference. The Congress theme is: ‘Unleashing Innovation: Healthcare Engineering Excellence’.
The Society explains: “Increasingly, healthcare engineering leaders are being called on at crucial moments to ensure the best possible patient care. Engineers were instrumental in the response to the global pandemic of 2020/2021, either by maximising existing healthcare spaces, or creating new/temporary spaces to deal with the novel virus. Innovative solutions and comprehensive analytics lead many healthcare organisations to successfully deal with this historic event. There are many challenges facing the healthcare community, and it is through innovation and collaborative efforts that solutions will be found to current and future challenges facing the healthcare systems of the world. Identifying and developing the most promising areas of innovation internationally has the potential to sustainably reduce growth in health spending, while leading to improvements in the quality and accessibility of care across the care continuum.
“Bringing together the best of the best from around the globe, this international conference will investigate innovation and engineering excellence that contribute to ensuring these changes will do no harm and enhance the patient and family experience.”
Accepted speakers will be notified by August 31, 2021. Biographies and abstracts will be required at this time. Speakers are requested to electronically submit their complete PowerPoint presentations by July 15, 2022.
