Phil Nedin will be among the speakers at a one-day event examining “21st Century hospital ventilation” and being staged by the Institute of Mechanical Engineers’ Healthcare Division at the IMechE’s 1, Birdcage Walk headquarters in London on 15 May.
Phil Nedin will be one of many leading healthcare sector figures to speak at an event which promises to offer a comprehensive guide to the engineering challenges of healthcare ventilation, and the potential solutions. The day’s presentations will include an analysis of ventilation’s role in infection control, and a focus on “cutting-edge” methods of reducing airborne infection, along with advice on compliance with design standards and international legislation. There should also be excellent networking opportunities and the chance to identify working partners for future projects.
Ventilation and air quality are essential components of modern theatre, isolation room and hospital ward environments, whether in newbuild or refurbishment projects, and the day promises to examine some of the key technological solutions open to engineers working in the field.
